It is informed to all the District Education officers & Ex-Officio Project Coordinators and Additional Project Coordinators, Samagra Shiksha in the state that Two Vocational Coordinators per district (who are appointed by Vocational Training Partners) to work under supervision of GCDO concerned district to support and monitor the implementation of Vocational Education in the district from November 2024.
All the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators, Samagra Shiksha in the state are requested to issue the necessary instructions to the concern GCDOs
- To admit them in your office and also requested to submit their joining report to this office.
- The GCDOs has to submit the monthly attendance report along with the Vocational Education implementation report to this office by 5th of every month.
- The GCDOs has to monitor and submit the reports of internships, ToT related and other activities of Vocational Education.
- The Vocational Coordinators are allotted to enhance the Vocational Education in the district to use their services exclusively for Vocational Education only.

Job Chart of Vocational Coordinators under Samagra Shiksha
- Work under the supervision of GCDOs to strengthen the implementation of Vocational Education across all district schools. Submit a monthly Vocational Education implementation report for the district to the GCDO
- Collaborate with GCDOs to evaluate and select schools for Vocational Education inclusion in the Project Approval Board (PAB) Assist in preparing PAB documents, outlining
- implementation progress and any funding requirements
- Conduct monthly visits to assigned schools, ensuring at least 15 days of field visits each month. Submit detailed school visit reports to the concerned District GCDOs at the end of each month.
- Support Headmasters in promoting and increasing student enrolment in Vocational Education courses.
- Facilitate the on boarding process for Vocational Trainers in coordination with Headmasters and GCDOs. Ensure the inclusion of vocational subjects in the school timetable by working with school leadership and GCDOs.
- Track Vocational Trainer attendance to ensure consistent engagement and effective program delivery. Observe class activities and provide feedback to ensure curriculum adherence and quality teaching
- Ensure vocational labs are well equipped, maintained, and regularly utilized for hands-on training. Oversee the setup of new vocational labs, ensuring they are equipped with essential resources and equipment
- Ensure the timely distribution of vocational textbooks to students and schools in coordination with GCDOs
- Monitor and report on adherence to the Vocational Education curriculum across schools
- Maintain comprehensive records for all schools, including enrolment data, Vocational Trainer attendance, Headmasters' details, industry partnerships, and guest lecture information.
- Orient Headmasters on Pre-Vocational Education initiatives and support class implementation for students in grades 6–8
- Support the implementation of internal assessments (FA & SA) to track student progress and skill proficiency. Provide career counselling, guiding students on vocational pathways and job opportunities
- Establish connections with industries, MSMEs, and government/private organizations to provide students with internship, apprenticeship, skill training, and placement opportunities
- Identify and facilitate internship opportunities for students, guiding them through application processes and hands-on experiences.
- Identify resource persons from industries, MSMEs, and government/private organizations for guest lectures and industry exposure. Facilitate guest lectures and field visits according to the guidelines from Samagra Shiksha, Andhra Pradesh
- Identify local MSMEs, artisan workshops, and other organizations for guest lectures and field visits. Build connections with industries to offer internships and real-world exposure to students.
- Encourage and coordinate student participation in district- and state-level skill competitions.
- Facilitate orientation sessions for Headmasters on Vocational Education guidelines and policies.
- Facilitate Vocational Trainer training sessions, including annual Training of Trainers (ToT) programs, in coordination with GCDOs.
- Orient Headmasters of Spoke schools on the hub-and-spoke model and provide support in its implementation. Facilitate Vocational Trainer on boarding at Spoke schools and monitor the hub-and-spoke model for resource sharing.
- Facilitate exit surveys for students completing 10th and 12th grades, offering career guidance and information on further skill training, apprenticeships, and career options.
- Vocational Coordinators attendance should submit to State Samagra Shiksha office duly signed by concerned GCDOs.
- The Vocational Coordinators can avail one-day leave per month with prior information to GCDOs. The unavailed leaves of VCs will accumulate to next month until end of the academic year.
- Orient Headmasters, Vocational Trainers and GCDOs on Lighthouse application usage and ensure the submission of necessary reports on Lighthouse on timely basis by VTs.
