Key Amendments & Qualifications for DEO (DR)
- Educational Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University established or incorporated by Central/State Act, or UGC recognized institution.
- Designation & Pay Scale: Directly recruited officers will be designated as "District Educational Officer (DR)" during probation, drawing entry pay scale until successful completion of probation and PGD-SELA.
- Mandatory PGD-SELA: Candidates must successfully complete a 2-year Postgraduate Diploma in School Education Leadership and Administration during probation.
- Additional PG Degree Requirement: Officers must acquire a Postgraduate Degree in Education or a relevant specified discipline within 5 years of appointment.
- Administrative Training & Bond: Candidates must undergo up to 6 months of administrative training and execute a bond to serve the department for at least 3 years, failing which allowances/pay drawn must be refunded.
