Background of G.O.Ms.No.204

The Government Order refers to the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Organisation of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975 and the subsequent Presidential Order, 2025.

The Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Organisation of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 2025 was published in the Gazette of India on 15-12-2025 and came into force with effect from 15-12-2025.

In accordance with the Presidential Order, 2025, the Government called for proposals for organization of posts into District, Zonal and Multi-Zonal cadres.

The Human Resources (School Education) Department furnished proposals for organization of all classes of civil posts relating to Municipal Schools.

Government Approval for Municipal School Local Cadres

After careful examination of the matter and in exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Organisation of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 2025, the Government approved and organized the classes of posts in Municipal Schools under the School Education Department into District and Zone cadres.

Important: The organization covers the posts specified in the Annexure to the Government Order, including posts that may be sanctioned from time to time.

Consequent upon the organization of posts, the District and Zone, as applicable, shall be separate units for various service matters.

Effect on Existing Service Rules

The provisions of the Presidential Order, 2025 shall have overriding effect over the existing Service Rules, rules or statute to the extent of any inconsistency.

The Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, Human Resources (School Education) Department and Heads of Departments are required to take immediate action for amendment of relevant Service Rules in conformity with the approved scheme of organization of local cadres.

The departments shall also take necessary action to readjust territorial jurisdictions wherever required, based on the unit of appointment and in accordance with the orders.
