The Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, has officially issued the schedule for the Formative Assessment-2 (FA-2) and Self Assessment Model Paper-2 for the 2026-27 academic year. The examinations will commence on October 5, 2026, across the state.

Class 3 to 5

- Very Short Answer Questions (VSAQ): 2 Questions, 4 Marks
- Short Answer Questions (SAQ): 4 Questions, 16 Marks
- Total: 21 Questions, 35 Marks
Class 6 to 9
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): 15 Questions, 15 Marks

TaRL Testing Guidelines for 2026-27
The Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) assessments will be integrated with formative assessments for classes III, IV, and V.
- Telugu & English Levels: 0 Beginner → 1 Letter → 2 Word → 3 Paragraph → 4 Story → 5 Comprehension.
- Mathematics Levels: 0 No Operations → 1 Addition → 2 Subtraction → 3 Multiplication → 4 Division → 5 Word Problem.
- The assessment must be conducted individually in a friendly, stress-free environment.
- Only the highest level achieved by the student should be recorded on the OMR Sheet and School Learning Progress Sheet.
Instructions for Examination Conduction
- Question papers will be preserved at the school complex for classes 1st to 5th, and at the MRC for classes 6th to 10th.
- School complex headmasters and MEOs 1 and 2 will act as custodians of the papers.
- Paper bundles will be provided to schools exactly one hour before the session starts.
- Mandal Education Officers and Cluster Resource Persons must monitor examination conduction in both private and government schools.
